I left in the morning for a family graduation party and returned later in the evening to find my door left open. Apparently house keeping had not pulled the door closed after leaving towels. I did go down to the front desk immediately after making sure my belongings were still in the room. I definitely was extremely disappointed for a first time visit.

I love the outdoor scenery. The convenience of a restaurant in the resort/hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

Nice rooms located along the lake with shops and restaurants walkable next door. Comfortable bed and clean room. Definitely would stay again.

The best pet friendly hotel we have stayed at in a long time. The rooms are spacious and clean. I chose one with a full kitchen and it was equipped with everything i needed. Everywhere we walked the dogs was pristine. We did not see one bit of dog poop anywhere on the property. Awesome place.

We had a great stay in a king suite with kitchen balcony. The food at the restaurant was also great. Loved hanging out by the fire pit, lovely view of Lake Hartwell!

While this is a beautiful hotel with several amenities (pool, lounging areas, lake view etc.) I don’t know that I will stay again. We did get there early and upon check in we wasn’t told our room was not ready so we ended up waiting/sitting in the hall way for about 45 minutes. The biggest issue I have is someone randomly used their key card to open the door to our room without knocking while my sister n law and my 12 yr old daughter was changing for the pool. The fact that our rim was cleaned about 10 minutes prior to this, I do not understand why anyone would be coming in the room. After that, it was difficult to feel safe to the point we almost left that night. I did not mind the train, but if you are a light sleeper you may be bothered. It is right next to the hotel and seems to pass by approximately every 30 minutes.

Beautiful common areas. Very clean and modern rooms. The facility has some large suite type rooms with a full size kitchen. Would definitely stay here again.

Property and its surroundings are beautiful, in a nestled quiet area. However, the adjoining rooms are so shallow that you can hear through the walls, so I would not stay here again. The noise level that you hear through the walls is ridiculously loud and not conducive to a quiet and restful nights sleep

This isn’t a resort or hotel for the public and shouldn’t be advertised as so, in reality it’s a wasp club for certain individuals with under the table paid security and other things at their call who really run this place. If you’re a regular person, it’s anything but restful and relaxing. Women and children are not safe here.

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. Check in process was super quick, probably quickest ever for me, as the front desk staff is extremely prepared. We didn’t try the restaurant this visit but plan to next time. The pool isn’t heated (although we knew this ahead of time before our trip so not at all complaining!) the one and only thing that we wish was different is that we wish they had a microwave in the rooms (we didn’t ask about a common area microwave so may be possible) but that’s nothing huge either. Definitely somewhere I’d recommend! We be back

Great alternative to Hampton Inn. Better price/value for the room size and on-site amenities. Only change I would make is the bar/restaurant needs to be open later than 9PM. Especially when events are scheduled on campus and guests are looking for food/drink options afterwards.

Tv didn’t work and maintenance man who came to room said I told them about this tv over a month ago… they still rented me the room despite knowing tv didn’t work. Also the circuit breaker for outlets kept going off …. Disaster weekend because no tv for party

They gave us a room right next to the highway and bridge over the lake so we had road noise constantly. To make it even better, the next bridge upriver 100 yds upstream was the railroad so we had train going by blowing the horn. The front desk staff refused to move us saying the hotel was full even though not all had checked in snd and they could have swapped our room. They made a big deal about our booking through Expedia and that we should have booked direct. Could it be that we got assigned a crappy room because of that? In any case, not worth the money when there are lots of better choices around .

House keeping wasn’t adequate. Although I had hung the sign asking for maid service, I only got extra towels & the trash can emptied. Coffee station wasn’t filled. Bed was not made.
