EXCELLENT SMALL HOTEL, with super staff, delicious food and high standrad of comfort. only small complaint is its situation on a main road: triple glazing highly effective, but no ability to turn the air con down, and I found the room very hot. otherwise five stars!

Very pleasant start. Great views of the sea. Castello Miramare is a short walk away and regular bus service to Trieste (no 6 or 36).

Good choice of breakfast . Very clean throughout the hotel . Room top up of clean towels etc was excellent. Wonderful private beach with a lovely bar . The only gripe is being charged 20 euros for a bottle of water in the restaurant

Fantastic little find for a night to stop-over on our way to the caves. Lovely warm welcome and the food was fab.

This is a really lovely hotel. Full of character and history, but well refurbished. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, all of them. Our room, which was clean and comfortable, overlooked the inner courtyard and when we requested one with better light they saw to it quickly and efficiently. The first room had a walk-in shower, the second a bath (with jacuzzi) and hand-held shower, but the pay-off was two French windows and balcony. Not slot in the local area but that wasn't why I chose to stay here. It's a brilliant hotel for the cost and service. Room was huge. Clean. Staff were pleasant. Breakfast was a little late so I tucked in much to the annoyance of the staff. I'd already waited 15 minutes and had a full days riding ahead. I'd happily recommend this place.

Large comfortable and beautifully furnished suite in the roof space of a 19th century block in the centre of Trieste. Excellent location, helpful and knowledgeable manager. Quiet retreat from the city, unique ambience.

We had a good stay here. Very helpful reception staff. Room was nice and comfortable and in a quiet top floor corner setting, only slightly marred for tranquillity by a loud minibar that we had difficulty turning off (eventually found the right switch in the middle of the night). Breakfast excellent. Very well located for Trieste transport, restaurants and sights.

Good sized, clean apartment in a really central location near great bars and restaurants. I found check in online a complicated system but once we were there easy to gain access. The washing machines are communal and you need to download an app to use them.

A stylish and characterful hotel in a 19th century building, which was previously flats - one of which (on the 3rd floor) was the home of the famous writer James Joyce. Fantastic hotel

Excellent location as very central but very quiet. Room was comfortable and cool despite the extreme heat outside, good breakfast and very helpful staff on Reception. Housekeeping seem to do an amazing job as everywhere looked very well cared for. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were exceptional. Very friendly, very helpful, and very efficient. The room was very clean and spacious, with an incredibly comfortable bed. Breakfast was really good, and our dinner a wonderful experience. Once again the professional staff guided us on local wine choices and made our dinner a lovely experience. We had difficulty parking but the receptionist helped with that and problem went away. All round very good hotel, I would highly recommend
