The location of the hotel was close to the main junction for roads to Angkor Wat, the airport, and the town so I had no problem getting around. Outside, there were usually friendly 'tuk-tuk' drivers ready to take you places. Make sure to haggle but the fares were pretty reasonable. It was set back from the main road so it is not really easy to find or to spot. However, the entrance to the hotel is impressive with gold-painted statues. The reception staff were helpful and friendly, the pool looked inviting, and the bar/restaurant was nearby. There was a limited selection for breakfast, but plenty of choices for other mealtimes. I made use of the packed breakfast which had a good amount of food and cutlery, but I did have to wait for them to prepare it.
The room itself was on the 3rd floor and although the view from the window was not scenic, it was facing east so the sun streamed in after sunrise. It was clean, spacious and presentable. The bed, as almost everywhere else was fairly firm but comfortable. The complimentary tea/coffee and water was well-stocked but no minibar. I had to ask for the fridge to be cleaned, but it worked very well. The air-conditioning required a bit of trial and error but otherwise very good, with quiet mode option.
The pool area had several loungers and a shower, and although the pool water was not heated it was not unpleasant.
The food was alright, but sometimes items were unavailable. The menu contained both western and Khmer cuisine.
