The houses and property were amazing! The staff was very helpful guiding my wife and I when the main road was closed for construction. As a photographer, the scenery from the balcony area was absolutely stunning! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

One of the best places we stayed at in Costa Rica. It’s truly a beautiful stay. The place is amazing and clean and great wifi. We wished we stayed here longer. The balcony is great and the shared terrace had the most beautiful sunset.

We absolutely loved our time at Amalu Monteverde. We stayed in the Black Haus and it was superb. The view is stunning and the property is designed to make the most of it with wall to ceiling windows and a great sun deck. We really enjoyed the hot tub (not normally our thing) while the sun was setting and knew that this was one of those places we would never forget and for all the right reasons. The Blackhaus is really well designed with a small but useful kitchen area, a lovely bathroom with a double shower, a really comfortable bed with a bath next to it which we loved, and a wood burner which we really appreciated because it gets cooler in the evening because of the altitude and geography. We also really appreciated the welcome gifts that made everything even more special. If you have the chance to stay here, and are wondering if it really could be that good, please don’t hesitate. It is better than the pictures and an absolute WOW place to stay! I would definitely recommend a 4x4 when visiting the area and the best activity we did was La Tigre Waterfalls which we thought were fantastic (but we love hikes and nature and are not adrenaline junkies!). Amalu will now definitely have a place in our top 10 places we have ever stayed (and quite possibly top 5 or even number 1!!).

Impeccable details for comfort. Not easy to get to but to achieve the views you have to climb (drive) the mountain. Great water pressure and the room provided a few key food and drinks if we desired. Eggs, coffee, chocolate, champagne (the necessities haha) really a one of a kind spot in a one of a kind place. 10 stars!!!

My favorite stay in Costa Rica!!!

This was by far my favorite accommodation while traveling throughout Costa Rica. I honestly would have been happy never leaving the property! The views were incredible and there were multiple ways to enjoy them in one place between the glass view, telescope, netting day bed, hot tub, and jetted tub. And the service was excellent while still giving privacy. So glad we ended our trip here.

Beautiful home in secluded location. The host was very attentive to all our needs and quick to respond whenever we reached out. Amazing views and property. They even had snacks and a few essentials to get by for morning breakfast and beverages. Definitely need a 4x4 to drive up as we learned and had a rock in our tire but so worth the drive. Unbelievable!!! Not enough good things to say about this property!! Not only are the views incredible, but the hosts through of everything - champagne, chocolate, eggs, the yoga mat.. just 10/10 service. One of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed & wish we could’ve stayed longer. Be sure to check out the observation deck as well, almost forgot about it & we had incredible views. Worth every penny!!

Best views in Monteverde

Words can’t describe this place. We stayed at the glass house in it was an amazing experience. It’s hard to get to this place due to bumpy roads but once you’re there you don’t want to leave. We loved the projector for movie nights and the spa. Another big plus was all the things provided so we could cook a great breakfast. Mayco was easy to reach and ready to help with any request. Definitely recommend and will come back!

We stayed in Glass House #1. The scenery was absolutely incredible. Perched high on a hilltop, whether its day, night, or even raining, you won't be disappointed with the view. The unit came complete with a full kitchen and cookware. There is a hot rub on the balcony that is completely secluded...perfect for nighttime star gazing. This prooerty is extremely isolated and is about a 15 minute drive to Monteverde. Therefore, nearby dining options are limited. We went to the Supermarket in Monteverde and picked up spaghetti and other items to make our our meals at the Glass House.

The website picks do not do this property justice. Stayed glass cabin 2.0 for three nights over NYE. From opening automatic shades for stunning “Am I in a Hobbit Movie” views of rolling hills with ocean in the distance to birds chirping and gliding at eye level as if posing for an insta pic, everything in incredible. Did I mention a stocked fridge, a bottle of bubbly on arrival, an outdoor hot tub, and oh the massive projection screen as the closed shade is now a movie theater experience from a smart TVwith great sound and of course popcorn and candy!! Just go and stay for at least two nights. This is HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!

The hot tub was a delightful bonus, allowing us to unwind while soaking in the stunning scenery. Definitely would recommend this property if you want some luxury and get away from hustle and bustle. It's perfect for couples and families.
