We are very sorry for your experience in our hotel, unfortunately the reason for some of these mishaps is because you must of misunderstood the text. You must of missed the part of the text message, which you answered, mentioning that we needed your email in order to send you the welcome letter. This was also our second attempt of reaching out, and at this point we hadn't received your text until 8 hours later at 4:23 pm. Resulting in you not receiving the welcome letter until 4:45 pm, not 20 hours later. In the first text message we did mention that we were not a 24 hour service hotel, like most hotels in Sister Bay. Now, concerning the fire alarm that went off, we have certain precautions and procedures we take, and they were all taken care of appropriately, your calls were not answered because we were taking care of these precautions, calling 911 was very unnecessary. Regarding you not being able to find your room, we went outside to see if there were any changes needing to be made, but there are signs by the parking lots guiding you to where the rooms was very visible from almost every point on the property. We apologize for the issues in the room, we hadn't noticed them to be a problem in the past, so we thank you for your feedback. Not everyone prefers self-check in and totally understand, it’s new technology that some are not use to. 99% of our customers love the self check in process and sorry you didn’t find it comfortable on the other hand to keep our rates competitive we don’t want to have a 24 hours front desk person waiting for just 1 or 2 rooms guest. We send welcome letter via email with all information on hotel along with information in the room in the booklet. Also we do have guest that like to have coffee in the rooms and do make the mistake of spilling, we just had our carpets cleaned today for summer season. We clean carpets weekly ourself and professionally cleaned once or twice a year. We apologize for the stains. We are an eco-friendly minimalist style hotel. For make up service if towels are hung, we leave them to get reused, if they on the floor we replace as we explain I. The booklet. A washing machine takes 20-30 gallons of water for one cycle to clean towel that was used once, people can reuse their towels to help save water consumption or feel you need new towels you can leave them on the floor.
