"Outstanding location , with breathtaking views of Umbria from atop of the hill on which the small town of Bettona is located . During the 13th and 14th centuries the hotel was a hospital and an orphanage . Wasn’t thrilled with the restaurant , but that of course is a matter of taste. "Beautiful quiet location, great pool and well maintained gardens, with some beautiful roses. Restaurant was excellent. It's about 25 minutes from Montepulciano but it's an easy drive and country roads. has the advantage of being 20 minutes from Castiglione del Largo and Lago Trasimeno. Staff were very helpful."

Very helpful staff with taxis, reservations etc. Shower needed care not to turn bathroom into wet room and sink drained poorly but everything else fine. Excellent central location convenient for all major attractions. Breakfast was good. Room service prompt and helpful."
