Rooms are clean and functional but nothing to write home about, with bathrooms not dissimilar to the toilets in a school 20 years ago. Nevertheless, a good night's rest and great location if you're playing golf and the nearby Cleeve Hill golf course. "

"This was a beautiful country pub in a great wonderful location. We had dinner at the pub the evening we checked in and it was delicious, breakfast was too. All the staff were very helpful, nice, and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and and just all around lovely. We only wished that our stay had been longer. We will definatley return for longer soon. "

"This is the perfect location to explore Burton-on-the-Water as you are right in the center of town. Check-in was easy and so was parking. The staff are very friendly and the gentleman that makes the drinks has a great sense of humor. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable although the location of our room was very noisy as it is right where all the deliveries occur for the hotel so we could hear vans driving on the gravel and opening doors during the night (Room 10). I would stay here...

"Very cosy but modernized historic property! Had its own pub and restaurant serving delicious food and drink, and our hotel room included a cooked to order hot breakfast. It’s in a quiet countryside but with easy access to towns for any needed supplies. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!"
