We stayed in the 3 bed self-catering cottage, it was clean, tidy, well decorated and had everything you need, we had a lovely stay and would definitely come back.

Beautiful decor , lovely pool area. Bus stop outside , great dining, good service, one niggle which might sound trivial , they had taped music in dining room which I don’t mind but the choice of music was annoying more nighttime bar music than soft lounge music.

End of an era as La Place is closing at the end of September. It is to be replaced by apartments. Such a shame as the hotel has been our hotel of choice over the years. Staff have always been fantastic and this year Patrick and Marcus in particular were wonderful. Such a shame that they are not being retained now the hotel is closing. It is noticeable that over the last couple of years little attention has been paid to the upkeep of the hotel as management knew it was closing. Hopefully the new apartments will retain some of the excellent features that made the hotel so highly rated, in particular the restaurant and the staff.

Have just had an 3 night stay at La Place. Everything was excellent. Every member of staff has excellent customer service and every interaction is a delight. Staff so helpful and friendly and professional The room is spacious and decorated to an excellent standard. Lovely cool white colours. Everything you can imagine you would need / little touches. White company products aplenty, zoom-in mirror. Beautiful room interior creating luxurious relaxing environment. The breakfast is to an excellent standard and dinner in the restaurant too with delicious seafood and fish. A perfect hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary- We will return. Thank you all

My wife and I have stayed at the hotel a few times, but this was the first time we booked a cottage with our 2 grown up children and their partners. We weren't disappointed. 3 spacious double rooms. 3 bathrooms (shame all 3 didn't have showers, as the third seemed big enough). The kitchen was well equipped with a washer/dryer and dishwasher - and the detergents were supplied. The fridge also had a large bottle of water and milk which was a nice touch. We all did plenty of walking from the hotel around the local green lanes (seeing plenty of Jersey cows and pheasants) and to the bus stop to St Helier, although the hotel drivers offered to run us whenever they passed ! We did use them to run us to and from the airport and also to La Mare vin yard which was much appreciated as it would have involved a couple of buses. The drivers were both very friendly as were the reception staff. All in all, a very relaxing stay, and better than using hotels as we were able to cook a few meals during the week. Bit of a hike to Waitrose in St Brelade, but doable, and the drivers would have taken us I'm sure. We also walked to the Lavender farm, Corbierre lighthouse, Poplar tea rooms and St Aubins bay which is lovely and has several nice restaurants (we ate in Muddy Duck, The Tenby and The Boathouse which were all good).

This is a lovely hotel which is made by its staff, who are uniformly cheerful and friendly. The location is great, and there are drivers who will take you to nearby spots, but a car is really needed to take advantage of all that the island has to offer. The food is excellent, with a wide choice at breakfast and high-quality meals in the restaurant. Such a pity that the hotel is converting later this year to self-catering accommodation only.

This was a beautiful property.We stayed in a 3 bedroom cottage very spacious, beautiful decor and had outside space in the form of small garden with table and chairs.The only small detail that the property could perhaps consider would be considering a raised toilet seat for disabled guests.The toilets were very low and difficult to get up from if any mobility issues or older guests.The toilet down stairs had lots of space for wheelchair users but the toilet was still very low.Other than this this property was 5 star.

The room was nice, roomy, with pleasant decor. However the bed was very hard, and there were several [albeit small] spiders in the room. I called reception and they sent someone to get rid of big dead one in the bath. She said that it was because the hotel was in the country. We also mentioned it to the manager, and he said the same, and "We do get them". Breakfasts were amazing, and the best bit of the stay.
