Great local downtown. Easy walking distance to restaurants, historic buildings. Staff was excellent and extremely knowledgeable.
Stayed here while visiting Vermont, Stowe & Woodstock. It was a great base area. Hotel was great, beds were comfortable. One site dining was good. The is little to no nightlife in the town and everything does close early. But good coffee shops and the whole little town is walkable. Very cute town.
The only call out is that the beds are very hard. I wish they were softer or offered a harder version of a bed and a softer version in the rooms with two beds. But other than that great service, clean hotel and amenities. Nice to have a restaurant off the hotel.
Very nice staff and great location. My only complaint is that I had checked in at 4:55 on a Friday afternoon and paid $12 for parking only to find out that I could’ve just parked on the street as parking is free after 5 o’clock and all weekend. I wish the front staff had told me about that as there was a spot available right in front of the hotel all night long, whereas the parking lot I had to carry a lot for longer.
Aside from a tiny elevator, the Hotel was lovely. Old but well maintained. The restaurant, J. Morgan's, served a delicious dinner and a equally delicious breakfast. The parking lot was confusing but we figured it out. Great location.
Hotel was great with the exception that the elevator was broken down for most of the stay but the staff was great and helpful with carrying luggage as we were on the fourth floor.
A great hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed there during the 4th of July and the parade was in front of the hotel. The fireworks were behind the hotel. There is parking in a lot. The restaurant attached to the hotel is great. Would highly recommend this hotel.
This is a great hotel. Almost across the capitol. Spacious room, great staff, and a restaurant on primacies. The hotel is a great deal for the value. Highly recommend for a stay
We passed through Montpelier on our way to and from Montréal and both stays were lovely, The hotel was flexible with our check in time, and the lobby was comfortable for our wait. Staff were able to locate two items we left behind from our first stay and were helpful in finding us a ride to the train station when Uber wasn’t available. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and quiet. We especially appreciated the complimentary bottled water!
Nice place. Great staff. Excellent breakfast. Only bad thing is your bill automatically adds parking charge without them asking if you are using it. Had to have it removed twice. Otherwise, nice place to stay and conviently located.

Friendly staff to greet you!
Rooms are quiet but not updated.
Parking was in a gated lot. Needed to check-in to use key card to get in gate.
Elevator is extremely tiny.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was tired and needed work. Air conditioning was very noisy. Only 1 elevator worked.
The location of this historic hotel was perfection. Situated in the heart of picturesque Montpelier we had a view of the gold domed state building and were able to walk to enticing shops, restaurants and the weekly farmers market.
The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very personable, helpful and welcoming. Although this is an older property with some dated features the staff, cleanliness, comfort and location makes it a property to visit again.
The hotel is in a great place and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. The fitness center is solid--two treadmills, two bikes and some weights. We did not eat at the restaurant but the hotel has an extensive snack/drink area so we always had what we needed.
