"We really enjoyed our stay at the Block Island Beach House. The location is hard to beat — right on the beach and right in Old Harbor, so you’re close to everything. I’m honestly not sure there are many other hotels that are actually on the beach itself, which makes the location such a huge plus.
When we booked, the only room available was the ADA suite. I’m very glad the hotel offers this type of accommodation, and for someone who needs an accessible room, having a beautiful, fully renovated suite like this is wonderful. The room itself was beautiful, updated, and very nicely renovated.
For us, though, the particular location of this room wasn’t ideal. It was immediately inside the hotel entrance, and it overlooked the hotel porch. It was also right outside the hotel kitchen, so we could hear employee kitchen activity at times (more so in the morning) . We feel that it didn’t provide the privacy that would have preferred for our vacation.
That being said, I would absolutely stay at the Beach House again. The location is fantastic, the rooms are beautiful and updated, and being right on the beach and in Old Harbor is such a huge advantage. Next time, I would just choose a different room/location within the hotel if available.
