Scalloway Hotel

Scalloway Hotel

8/10 Good
"We had a the Signature room in Scalloway Hotel which was a lovely big room with a view overlooking the sea. The room was clean and very well appointed. The reason I only gave 4 stars rather than 5 was because there was shower gel ( attached to the wall) in the shower but that was all. There were no other toiletries at all. We appeared to be expected to go into the shower to wash our hands. I expect a hotel to at least provide hand soap. The staff were very helpful when I asked for some but I shouldn’t have to ask. Also nowadays most hotels provide a bottle of water, even if only filled from the tap. Finally I had to hunt around for the loo paper which was in the cupboard under the sink. None on the holder. However we had a very nice dinner, everyone was very friendly and helpful and it was good value. So I would come again and hope the little annoyances have been rectified."

8/10 Good
"Sarah the host was lovely and we enjoyed her art/gallery and garden. Chalet was in a good position if you have a car. We didn't know you couldn't drive your car to your chalet - suitcases have to be lugged up and down steps. We would have liked some outdoor seating. Kitchen was small but good and had everything we needed. Lsundry was fine. I thought the chalets were near a beach because of the photos but they weren't."
