"Terrible- i have stayed in at least 20 hotels around Japan and this one has the worst service by far. They don’t let you leave your luggage ar the reception to go sightseeing for a few hours. I bought and paid late checkout and explicitly told them not to wake up 10’times, guess what they called and woke me up anyway. Specifically people at the reception were not friendly We arrived at dinner time, but they refused to serve us dinner because we did not book for it in advance and there is no other food in the hotel, and around the hotel you have to walk far just to eat which is also not recommended due to the risk of Bear attacks"

"Amazing stay - couldn’t recommend more. The staff are incredibly attentive and helpful, the hotel is set in a beautiful location and the entire experience is flawless. The food is excellent as well, although it’s worth noting that both the dinner and breakfast are very generous meals - best not to eat too much beforehand! "I love the Tanbo no Yu! I can tell that its being fixed up more everytime I come here! This time, really enjoyed the pure stream bath it was very warm and a comfortable place to chat with my husband. The food was delicious and healthy with many flavors and unlimited hokuriku rice! I definitely be back again!"
