The hotel parking is next to the hotel down a side street, and consists of an ingenious vertical carousel system. Location of hotel is fine, about a 20 minute walk to the castle. Room was the usual small size and shower wasn't great, plus there were whiffs of cigarette smoke about the bedding even though it was a non-smoking room. But the room did the job, and the continental breakfast buffet in the lobby was surprisingly good and well provided. Friendly staff.

A typical Japanese hotel. Very good service. We had a half board option, including breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a buffet, combining Japanese, western food and local produce. Dinner is a typical Japanese Kaiseki meal. If you don't know Japanese food very well you may find it difficult, but if you know it, you can enjoy everything.
