Ancient cliff dwellings carved into canyon walls reveal the ingenuity of Ancestral Puebloan people who lived here 800 years ago. Ranger-guided tours of Cliff Palace and Balcony House provide the best access, while Mesa Top Loop Drive offers spectacular overlooks without the climbing.
Great stopover on our road trip with family members. The pool was a nice touch and appreciated on a warm day, but it is cold!! Fantastic little town worth a look too!

Really welcoming, lovely touches like having your names on a board as you walk in. Helpful with info on area. Great home cooked breakfast and facilities for tea and coffee with homemade cookies thrown in! And cashews for nibbles. Definitely would stay again.

We stayed in a room with our own bathroom, but I looked around the shared bathroom and would have been happy to have stayed there. Although no breakfasts is provided, there is a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of communal food that has been left by others, so I had peanut butter on toast for breakfast. We wished we had stayed for 2 nights so that we could have returned to Mesa Verdi the next day.

Absolutely loved the peace and quiet of this resort. Staff were so very friendly and helpful in arranging our late check in, and especially thanks to the wonderful lady preparing breakfast (sorry I dont remember your name) who really accommodated us for an early start to the day while she was setting up (hope the graduation in Denver went well!)
perfectly situated for an easy drive into Durango for dinner, and again in the morning to watch the D&SNGR train leave. lovely comfortable clean room...
