"Property built from an original house in 1778 and upgrade in 1920s, so it's a charming New England inn with nice cottages. They serve food but it costs, in an age when people might expect breakfast included. Dinner as well, although dinner has a higher quality menu. Beautiful area. Staff/owners are very nice. Not wheelchair accessible in the main building. Polly's Pancake House nearby."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was like going back in time. The historical decor, the spacious lobby, wide porches, fantastic scenery, were all magnificent. I felt the safest there, than at any other hotels I have ever stayed at. The 10:00 am. tour, starting at the grandather clock, was well worth it. Thank you Marvin, for suggesting it. I want to go back again because, like Paris, there is so much to see and embrace. I'd love to see the hotel decorated for Christmas. I'll have to take a ride up there then and experience more. Thanks to the parking attendants, front desk clerks, waiters, cleaning staff, and our tour guide."
