B&B in Thurrock

We found this hotel to be far enough away from the town centre to not be bothered by any noise but close enough for a nice stroll and the sunset over the harbour was lovely. The owners have obviously spent a great deal of time and money on this once run down to turn it into a comfortable hotel with more improvements planned.

In a picturesque setting with lovely friendly staff and a very welcoming atmosphere, food was excellent and prices good for what you get , definitely be visiting again and highly recommend to anyone!

Lovely property , well looked after and a very nice host. An older building with a lot charm and I really enjoyed staying on the property.

Our stay at the Stables Courtyard rooms was excellent. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the wonderful staff in all areas of the property. The reception staff were very polite and friendly, and gave us all the information we needed for our stay and our wristbands for free entry to the Castle and grounds. We arrived and we was greeted by lovely lady Debbie, the room, bed & shower all fabulous. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and lovely crest fruit, all you wanted. Having stayed at several places when we visit Southend, now we have found The Hamilton we would stay anywhere else. It's a real gem

We had a great time, the hosts are so so lovely and the room is so spacious and comfortable. We were visiting for a wedding and it was a fab room to get ready in. The hosts even had an iron to help us with our suit and dress.

Clean, safe, friendly! A no frills hotel that’s perfect for a solo female traveller who just needs somewhere to rest for the night. Literally 2 minutes walk from Earl’s Court station, so you feel very safe walking to and fro as so many people around. Very reasonable price for location and overall quality of the hotel. I stayed in the Love & Peace cottage. I initially was only staying a few days, but resulted in staying 3 weeks due to my father's health. Pat, the owner, was so welcoming and then so accommodating with the uncertainty of my length of stay. Going through a rollercoaster of emotions, Pat always made sure I was ok. The owner - Jasmine - was wonderful and couldn't do enough to help, she was kind, friendly, supportive and easy going. Her breakfast was perfect and she really made us welcome; will definitely be staying again and looking forward to it. The property is also close to Arnos Grove station (about 5-10 mins walk) and within Zone 4/5, so really easy to get to. The place is spotlessly clean and just gorgeous. A few problems checking in due to us changing our time of arrival but owner and his children were very friendly and explained everything well. Very well furnished and comfortable. Lots of good food to which you can help yourself for breakfast. We stayed in the en-suite room. Very pleased with everything but not certain about the glass door to the ensuite. No staff in the inn. Took my wife to London for her Birthday weekend. We enjoyed the Hand and Flowers' friendly staff, private access, and proximity to the tube. Pub had good selection of beers and good pub menu. We will be back again.
