"WHAT A FIND!!!! A real gem After being let down with our original booking, we found the Black Lion Hotel. It's set in a small, quiet village near the river. We had a superb evening meal, the pub was busy in both the bar and restaurant area all evening, which is always a good sign.... the food was superb, service was excellent The room we stayed in was quiet, clean, the bathroom was a good size, the bed was comfy. "Great location for our golf tournament in Abergele. Staff were outstanding and very helpful and in particular special mention to Elise(hope I have the correct name) who was very helpful before and during our stay. Nothing was too much for her to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Sadly, one of our group lost his wallet in the hotel which hasn't been found. The rooms were great other than the small beds in the twin rooms. A recommended hotel to stay and the restaurant on site a big plus "

"Angie and Charly could not have been more welcoming, The position was spectacular overlooking the valley set in a lovely garden, The rooms very tastefully decorated with large proportions. If in the area again we would definitely stay again."

"Stayed at the Beach Hotel for two nights and was not disappointed. Staff were lovely and very accommodating, lunch was good quality and reasonable cost, spa facilities good, location excellent as on the beach front and short walk to shops. Nothing negative to say will definitely be back. "

"The property is ideally suited for events at Venue Cymru, which is next door. We had a family room, fronting the promenade with a fantastic view of the bay.The hotel was renovated last year and there were many thoughtful touches. "Had a nice stay. The Hotel is a little on the dated side but this was to be expected due to the age of the building. The room was very hot and the small fan provided a little inadequate. It was rather noisy too at times. Overall we would stay there again all things considered "

"The staff was very friendly and our room was ready before our check in time. Nice little room and was neat and tidy. The bathroom was quite small and unfortunately the gliding room of the shower cubicle was broken. The bathroom was all wet after we had a shower. Very convenient to city centre and the coast."
