We stayed in 5 different hotels over the course of two weeks. This was by far our favorite hotel. Our room was the best hotel room we have ever stayed in. The staff was so helpful, and catered to our every whim. The Roman pool was one of kind. The courtyard was gorgeous and intimate. Don't except the Ritz, but this place deserves to be heralded for what it has to offer. We will stay again for sure. Well done Giovanni!!!!

This was a very unique stay … in an authentic palace! Staff treat you like royalty. Superior room was a large living room suite with additional bedroom! Excellent and plentiful breakfast every morning. Easy to walk to cafes, restaurants and shops and Villa de Este and Villa Gregoriane. City bus to Villa Ariana. Hotel also arranged my transfer back to airport in Rome with Marco a professional driver. Perfect!

The hotel is a treat ~ think old world charm with mosaics and frescoed walls. One the rooms (it was the suite) we stayed in was actually the Chapel for the family in the 1700's and Pope Gregorian himself actually slept in our room! When we arrived, Marco greeted us and made us comfortable with drinks and snacks in the courtyard. He made reservations for our dinner and hired a driver for us all the while kept us thoroughly entertained. We were even able to meet the owner, a true gentleman, who told me it was his life dream to own this hotel.

The location couldn’t be more perfect: right in the heart of Tivoli, just steps away from its stunning villas, gardens, and charming streets. It made exploring the town effortless and enjoyable. Each morning began with a delightful breakfast, thoughtfully prepared and served with warmth. The freshness and variety were impressive, and it was the perfect start to our days of sightseeing. Giovanni was an exceptional host—attentive, welcoming, and always ready with great recommendations. His hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable. If you’re visiting Tivoli and want a stay that feels both luxurious and authentically Italian, this palazzo is an absolute gem. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Like a dream

This hotel is truly a dream come true! It’s not run by a big chain like Marriott or Hilton, but by a warm and welcoming local family in Tivoli. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center, Villa d’Este, and Villa Gregoriana. As you enter through an authentic door into a charming courtyard, you immediately feel the magic. My room was absolutely stunning—like stepping into a Renaissance mansion. It had a grand entry room and a beautiful palace-style bedroom, complete with vintage furniture, hand-written manuscripts, old books, intricate wall decorations, and countless thoughtful details that words can't fully capture. I’ve shared a video of my room—definitely check it out! And the breakfast? An absolute masterpiece! Served on silver and porcelain, it was both a visual and culinary delight. The family running the hotel are incredibly kind and attentive—they truly make the whole experience unforgettable. Next time, I plan to spend an entire day just enjoying the hotel itself.

Palazzo d'epoca, dove ha soggiornato anche l'imperatore d'Austria. A due passi dalla Villa Gregoriana e dalla stazione ferroviaria. Ottima posizione per visitare Tivoli. Suite molto grandi, letto confortevole ed una colazione gustosissima, con ogni genere di dolci. Eccellente il servizio, dal check in, alla colazione, ai consigli per le visite, ai cenni storici.

This former palace is absolutely incredible! It's like walking back in time. The Superior Room is the most splendid hotel room I've ever stayed in. The staff and the owner were there to greet us and we enjoyed learning more about Tivoli and the property over a cocktail in the evening. Also, the underground swimming pool is such a treat on a hot Italian day. We will be back for sure! This is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. In addition, we loved Tivoli and would highly recommend staying two or three nights. It's much more quaint than Rome and the three main sites provide plenty to do. Plus there are some incredible restaurants walking distance from the hotel.

Wonderful old villa with great service and lots of character . It's certainly not a suburban marriot type hotel, but a very authenticity preserved/restored villa from 500+ years ago. Too much character to mention (mosaics and old painted walls, romantic candles at night, outdoor patio and court yard...etc). While the private hotel pool is warm and romantic, the whirlpool is only Luke warm. The staff was exceptional. The outside is plain looking, within a row of midevil apartments and a little hard to find but the inside is cozy and fabulous. Such a lovely place!! I would totally recommend a stay here.
