"I never checked in because this was the wrong location. When I contacted the property through their contact portal, they never responded to my written messages. When I spoke to a live representative for this location, she told me that my reservation was cancelled and that I wouldn’t be charged. She also told me I would receive a confirmation email in a few minutes. I booked another Wyndham location based on this information. When I never received the confirmation email, I called again and was then told that the representative lied to me and did not cancel my reservation and that I was already charged for my stay. The property manager at this location clearly tried to take profit for this stay along with my new booking at the other location.
Unfortunately, for this person, I have all of the recordings from my calls, so this would be considered a fraudulent charge. It’s a shame that customers have to fight to be treated fairly all for the sake of taking profit for the night vs the lifetime value of me as a customer. "
