"The location of the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel is excellent, but the overall experience was disappointing.
I joined Marriott Bonvoy before my stay and received an app notification on arrival morning that my room was ready. However, upon arriving at the hotel, I was told no room was available and that the app was incorrect. After checking back multiple times throughout the day, we eventually returned in the evening and were able to check in just before 7:00 p.m., making for a very long arrival day.
There were also repeated credit card charges during the stay ($200 and multiple $150 charges) that were not clearly explained upfront. As an international guest with USD limits on my card, this caused unnecessary stress. While one staff member was eventually helpful in clarifying and stopping further holds, the process lacked transparency.
Housekeeping did maintain the room well, but overall the service and communication did not meet expectations. I would not stay here again.
