"The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room we stayed had a great view of the ocean. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant was elegant yet comfortable. The food was delicious, especially the tallow potato wedges and the steak. They cooked it well-done all the way through, as I had ordered. The surrounding grounds were beautiful and peaceful. "

"Outstanding, friendly, and attentive staff. Hotel itself is beautiful and well located within walking distance of the shore and the city center. The restaurant was absolutely fantastic, everything was delicious and the service was top tier. My only issue was that either the hotel hallways were really noisy or people would stomp instead of walk."

"The rooms were spotless. First night Room 1 - The shower couldnt be used as the thermostat was not working and only scalding hot water was output. I was moved to another room for the 2nd night. First night I was on the 3rd floor and found the steps to my room were too steep for me to negotiate. It was unpleasant. 2nd room I was on 1st Floor. Molly? housekeeping staff was very friendly, and I appreciated her assistance."

"Small family owned hotel. Located in a remote location, so very peaceful and quiet. In the evening there is a nice fireplace in the lounge. Perfect for a quick pre or post dinner hangout on a chilly night. Drive to the hotel is filled with scenic views of the water, rolling hills dotted with grazing sheep! "The cottage was just a pictured - quaint, well appointed, cozy, and quite. Our hostess was very pleasant, providing us a warm welcome and suggestions for dining and visits. We wanted to be a bit out of the way as we visited the Isle of Skye and this location/cottage checked all boxes. It was not located in Portree but close enough for groceries, dining, etc. We chose to stay in most nights and the kitchen provided a wonderful array of equipment/dishes to cook meals for ourselves at night and...

"Beautiful location halfway between Portree and Uig, perfect for exploring the Trotternish peninsula. The premises are spotless and in excellent condition. The hosts were very accommodating and personable. Breakfast was delicious. Note: if you do not have a car, transportation could be tricky. Nearest restaurants are 20 minutes away by vehicle. Would stay again. Highly recommend Loch Eyre House!"
