"We could not turn off the air conditioning for some technical reason. As a result we had to move to another, smaller room on the other side of the hotel. In order to do that we had to contact the phone number on a welcome sheet, but the signal for that person's phone went in and out because he was 30 minutes away from Groveland. Finally, we moved into the other, smaller room, which was fine. And the person who helped us was, indeed, helpful and friendly. As a result, we had a room smaller than the one we paid for. WE SHOULD RECEIVE A PARTIAL REFUND. "

"The only issue with the Hotel was the dining room staff/staffing. Service was rather slow on several occasions including one occasion where it took 20 minutes for someone to take our dinner order. Enjoyed the Adventure Trail hike and the grounds were thoughtfully designed. I was too busy hiking in the park to try the spa facility. Perhaps on my next visit..."

"The property is very nice and the staff welcoming. The bed was comfortable. It IS an historic property so some things are not modern. It has a small fridge and a keurig type coffee pot but no microwave. The bathroom has very little shelf space. Our room faced the main street so there was traffic noise but it was mostly quiet after the businesses closed. The breakfast provided was basically a carb-fest with toast, waffles, muffins, etc so diabetics and keto folks be aware and plan ahead. The coffee was good. It has an elevator but some of the doors and layout is smallish so people with walkers, wheelchairs and service animals be aware. We didnt ask for an accessible room so those are probably better. "

"Nice little spot. We wanted to spend a full day showing Yosemite Valley to some out-of-state family, without the astronomical expense of staying inside the park. This inn was a perfect solution. It has a peaceful setting but is also well-located to Jamestown and Sonora for shopping and dining options, as well as to Columbia State Historic Park, which we also visited. While it's not exactly next door to Yosemite Valley, its proximity does make for a perfectly doable day trip if you get an early start. We requested ground-floor rooms due to mobility challenges of a member of our party, and our request was graciously accommodated. We were able to park both our vehicles directly outside our respective rooms too. The negative reviews I've read seem to be written by folks expecting luxury accommodations and that's not what this is, so manage your expectations. But we found the price reasonable, the staff friendly and welcoming, and the rooms clean, comfortable, and in good condition. Would book again. "
