"The Holiday Inn Express is a very practical (perhaps the only?) option in Tapachula. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the room and facilities are clean. There is a nice pool and the gym equipment is not shabby. Everything works, which is not always the case around here. There is a good breakfast and a good selection of restaurants on the strip mall nearby. Eurocar rents from a booth in the lobby."

"This was a really nice hotel, however, as we were sitting at the pool (the only white people), the server was bringing food and drinks to everyone poolside but would not even LOOK at us, or acknowledge that we were there."
