"For that cost, the room was super basic - I have seen private hospital rooms with better amenities. No television, no hot water kettle, no fridge - but the worst? No elevator! Or actually one that only goes up to first floor (mine was on the 3rd floor). Had to get my change of clothes for the night and the next day by opening my suite case in the car trunk. Hotel staff is incredibly rude and unaccommodating. Breakfast was included - basic affair. Have had such a great experience in Iceland that...

"Nice location within 5-10 minutes walking to Akureyri downtown. Ample street parking. The building exterior needs painting. The unit is updated with flooring, bathroom, and kitchens. However, it is a basement unit and the entrance to the unit is undesirable. You have to through a short side door and walking down into the basement."

"We stayed at the property for 2 nights while doing our ring road tour. It was nice to be able to do laundry after 5 days of one night stays. There is no dryer, but with two days we had no problem getting 4 loads washed and dried while there. Nice to have a kitchen and living room to hang out in after just hotels and guest houses. Bring earplugs, the night life and traffic can be loud at night with windows open, even during the week. Great central location, took a day trip up to Húsavík for...

"Good place"

"We were there for two nights, and the first night was OK. Noisy location, with people yelling on the street right in front of the hotel until 1:00, during our second night at the hotel. Then heavy machinery started operating on the street at 6:30, during one hour. Earplugs made no difference. The same night around 22:00, there was a fire alarm, that made us go downstairs to evacuate the building. On the first floor at the bar and restaurant also serving as the hotel reception, life continued...

"The location, location, location! Hotel is situated across the bay from Akureyri, 5km easy drive over the bridge. From the room or walk out to the patio, there is a magnificent view at the fiord, Akureyri with the mountains behind, view at river valley... Hotel is very nicely designed. Free parking. Room was super clean, breakfast included for the good begining of the day. Service excellent. Would stay again, highly recommend."
