"The St. Clair in Frankfort is a charming boutique stay in a beautifully restored historic building, with loft-style studios full of character, an easy walk to downtown restaurants, and a convenient drive to nearby bourbon distilleries and Churchill Downs. There’s even a hidden speakeasy on-site, if you can solve the riddle to get in! Just know that, as with many historic loft properties, you may hear some noise from guests staying above you."

"The new parking ramp is nice. The room was clean the breakfast was great. The hotel main floor was being renovated so the restaurant/bar was closed. There were construction noises starting early. The construction vehicles were all parked in the loading area on checkout so loading our luggage had to be done in the transit authority driveway, and that wasn't layed out for that."

"Air conditioning was great. The shower was hot but needs updated and throughly cleaned. No ice machine. If it was updated it would be worth the price"

"Suite had lots of store, full size fridge which we needed and kitchen supplied with things I didn’t expect! Very nice!!"

"Parking was great. Breakfast was fine and area was clean and well attended. Room was clean. At check in we were not told they did not clean rooms daily. No one came by during our 3 night stay. No shower soap on arrival and it took three requests over two days to get some. Manager handled issue."

"The room was not ready on time, even though we arrived early. They said they would get to cleaning it right away, and still it was not ready on time. The floors were still wet when we walked in. Staff were smoking near the entrance regularly with the doors wide open."

"Had me change rooms in the middle of my stay even though i told them i didn’t want to change rooms. Management was very rude to me. Management threatened to call the police on me and kick me out if i didn’t change my room at 12am after i got back from a 10hour shift. So i had to change my room in the middle of the night bc they said they didn’t have anything clean earlier in the morning."

"The location was beautiful. But the house was very dirty and in need of much repair. The water smelled like poop. The toilet in our room was filled with waste. The ceiling downstairs right by the kitchen had a huge hole and pipes exposed. The front door was broken and needed much repair. The patio out back was filthy the kitchen a complete mess with dishes stacked in the sink. They had cats and dogs in the house and while I was eating a cat jumped up in my lap. "Absolutely fabulous stay! Very spacious and comfortable room. The hosts were great - they called twice on Christmas, the day we were arriving, to ensure we had the codes to enter and details for our stay. Breakfast was great and they were accommodating to our allergies. Beautiful bed and breakfast. Will definitely be back!"

A vase of flowers and a thoughtfully created gift basket for our “Sister’s Trip” were waiting for us in our room, which felt so personalized and kind.
