"Red Roof was very affordable and about what I expected for the rate. The bathroom was the biggest issue - the shower head was so low I had to squat down to use it, the towels were very thin and threadbare, water easily leaked out of the shower while in use, no shampoo or conditioner (just soap), no hand towels (just bath towels and wash clothes). Also, the fridge in the room made this ticking noise non-stop. The front desk staff who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable."

So I got a 3rd room and that one had pools of water all over the floor. They didn’t even comp my room or make an effort to remedy the horrible experience. I will never be returning to this location. "This hotel is trashed and falling apart. The lady at the front desk was nice, but overall the property is in very poor condition. The room was gross, the elevator was terrifying and the smell was awful. We left without staying the night. "

"I stayed in room 138, it was humid in the room the entire time I was there. The plug situation left a lot to the imagination, you had to leave certain light switches on in order for the refrigerator to work as well as the plug in the bathroom area. The mattresses were lumpy. I did feel safe and the front office staff was very courteous. Had I not been as tired as I was at the end of my day in San Marcos I might have switched hotels. I will say, after a day at the river, this might have been a fine accommodation for a group of friends, but for 2 older ladies, it left a lot to be desired."
