"After driving around Maine, the Kancamangus Highway, and seeing the fall colors, I found my room for the night in the busy and bustling Inn. Staff were friendly and helpful. A darling fall display with a huge pumpkin provided a fun photo op outside. Somebody was getting ready to be married in the event center, a bus tour unloaded, and the indoor fireplace lounge and pool were filled with tourists like me. I had a second story room on the freeway side of the building, which you should avoid if you can. 18-wheelers could be heard through the windows.
I loved my room, however: a king-sized high quality mattress, gas fireplace with a timer, and an excellent massage chair. Very comfortable, and the chair was fabulous.
I ate dinner in the little bar after I unloaded, then had the breakfast buffet the next morning. Hotels are very expensive in New Hampshire this time of year, but this one was a solid value. My only other complaint is that the pool doesn't open until 9:00 a.m., even though it is indoors and away from the rooms. I wanted to swim laps, but I couldn't. I had to leave by 9:00, so this was a disappointment as this was one of the reasons why I chose this hotel.
While I was traveling solo, I could see bringing multiple generations of family here. The koi pond, huge dining area, gift shop, and pool/jacuzzi would entertain kids. Lots to see and do, even in inclement weather."
