Beautiful lodge and tents with exceptional service. Scenery and wildlife at Wallow were amazing! Airport transfers were easy and quick.

We had the best and most relaxing stay at The Wallow! The staff were all so lovely and accommodating. Thank you to our guide Caleb, Charles, Bheki, Sharon, Taz and the entire staff for an incredible stay and for consistently going above and beyond. We appreciated each of you and look forward to returning in the future.

Incredible stay, the staff are absolutely amazing always chatty always happy, the all inclusive is perfect, they even made an itinerary fof our stay with the activities we wanted to do. Our best holiday we have had and highly highly recommend to stay here. We are coming back!!!

A magical experience

Where to even begin? Our honeymoon stay at the Wallows was magical. The setting, the services, our accommodation, the food and the quality was 5 star but what really made our stay was the staff and the people we met. We felt so welcome and cared for the entire trip and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. We would recommend it highly to anyone who is travelling to Victoria Falls.
Brai dinner. Superb and lots of options.
Suite and view to enjoy our morning coffee and the local wildlife.

Wow!

From the group of four who greeted us with smiles, a cool washcloth and efficient luggage service leading to a refreshing welcome drink in the beautiful veranda, everyone and everything at the Wallow lodge was delightful. Coming from three days camping in the bush, the ‘tents’ at Wallow Lodge were a welcome sight! All the room amenities, including the outdoor shower, were perfect. Only sorry we couldn’t stay longer. Thanks to Rejoice and MC for making our stay and our meals memorable in beautiful Zimbabwe.

This is a tricky review because property itself is gorgeous and the staff are delightful. The large conglomerate that owns the hotel however we found problematic. Place is beautiful and in a unique location. Food varied from good to wonderful. The tents are delightful and comfortable and feel very private. We saw warthogs and incredible birds and other wildlife just walking right up to our room. The included outings are of varying quality and part of larger groups. We felt very uncomfortable in the outing to a local village to discover that Wild Horizons does not pay the villagers anything for this outing. While they advertise included outings, they have additional expenses connected with government charges to enter those locations. At a minimum those should be disclosed. If you choose to book, be very careful to make sure you know exactly what you're going to be charged. And some of their theoretically included activities like the visit to the village feel a little exploitative. On checkout we had an unpleasant experience because our bill did not match what Expedia showed us was going to be the checkout amount. And then after we thought we'd resolved it, they continue to push for that additional fee.
