Lovely place to stay, very friendly host.

Amazing hosts, beautiful family chateau maintained exquisitely by the owners, fantastic fresh local food and exceptional wine that is from local estates. Would be coming back again next year!

This is the second year that we’ve stopped here on our way from Cherbourg to the South of France. Great little rustic hotel, with the buildings being set around an open courtyard where breakfast is served (in good weather, else served indoors). Hosts are very helpful and - if you warn them in advance - will try hard to allow for any food allergies you make them aware of. Floor fans are provided in the room during warm weather. Definitely worth a stay if you’re heading this way.

We spent there a long weekend in May. It was very clean, the breakfast on time and the owners very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful setting and Edouard and Alexandra were amazing hosts! They’ve recently refurbished their place to a very high standard and my wife even enjoyed a dip in the swimming pool. Situated right next to a gorgeous chateau, we couldn’t have asked for more for our first night of holiday. If we are travelling this way in the future we shall be sure to stay again.

Amazing place, beautiful with a lovely pool and fantastic accommodation. Host was super friendly, although couldn’t speak a word of English which was a challenge :)

The whole place was superb - inside and out - the common area was very good and contained everything one could need

A great place to stop off as a family driving down from the UK to the SW France. Very good value for two adjoining rooms, really modern hotel with a pool. The only let down was breakfast - they seemed to have been short staffed on the day with one stressed staff member trying to manage it all and the choice of food was limited. Given we paid extra for it, we’d expected more for our money. Despite that we’d happily stay again and would recommend to other families for one night stop over en route...

This hotel is a few steps from the Palais de Jacques Coeur which is a fascinating visit.It is also a short walk to the Cathedral.Moreover there is an excellent restaurant on the doorstep.The breakfast which was fine was included in the room rate.The wifi code is on the room card and is free. The streets around this hotel are narrow and some are one-way so it is probably better to book a place in the smallish car -park.

Superb stay, great location, comfy bed, spotlessly clean. I would definately recommend Le Lys Ecossais and will be back again to stay in the not to distant future.

Spotless rooms. decor was a bit old though and bizarrely, apart from one hook on bathroom door there were no hooks to hang towels ! A small fridge in the room would be good, along with maybe actual glasses instead of disposable plastic covered paper ones. Finally the shower connected to the tap with no fixing on the wall is a really BAD idea and impossible to have a proper shower! Loo paper dispenser was more akin to petrol station WC that a hotel.

Really lovely rural setting, animals wandering the area and a lovely laid back feel. Pool was good and accommodation nicely furnished and decorated. Host was really welcoming and generally was a great place to relax.
