Beautiful grounds and charming vintage cottages. Quiet peaceful setting. Location is not convenient to most of our favorite activities although the west side of the island is like stepping back in time to how we can imagine the island was many years ago. Bed was not comfortable. Lighting inside was poor but the overhangs on the windows are obviously intended to keep out the hot sun. Housekeeping and landscapers do a great job. On site restaurant food was disappointing. Thank you for a relaxing stay.

This cottage is rich in culture and amenities! But would I stay here again? No. The cottage curtains had mold in them. Our allergies kept acting up. They don’t do daily housekeeping unless you stay here for more than 4 days. They give you free laundry detergent and you can wash! That was awesome.

When we checked in, the lobby staff was pretty rude, stating she didn’t know how many bathrooms our cottage had because she’s “only front desk, not housekeeping.” The cottage living area itself was decent, but the bedrooms that weren’t the primary were extremely small, you couldn’t open a suitcase without it blocking where you walked. The doors, handles, and locks barely worked since they were pretty outdated. There were dead ants everywhere, even on the “clean” towels and bedsheets. Also beware, they don’t offer housekeeping unless you stay at least 5 nights. For the $35/night resort fee, they honestly don’t provide much. They don’t even have a hot tub and the beach behind the property is pretty dirty. Unless you have a big party and don’t have a choice, I’d recommend staying elsewhere.

We enjoyed the park very much and love the individual units and the 2 bedroom cottage where we stayed. The kitchen was well stocked. The only small disappointment was the cleanliness of the rooms, where some areas were quite dusty. Overall a great stay.

This is the ideal setting if you want to relax in old style Hawaii setting. Immaculate grounds. Super quiet. Cottages are old but bedding is great and they are very clean. You appreciate it is a long historied plantation cottage - porch with seating and a view of the grounds was my happy place for a week for morning coffee and evening wine!

We enjoyed our stay on the property. Great spot to watch sunsets as the property is on the beach. Our cottage was over 100 years old. I was able to learn more about the history of our cottage from the hotel's history printout. If you're looking for a quite plae in a relaxing location, this is it.

This cottage had everything we needed, including enough toiletries and towels for 4 people for a whole week. It was comfortable and well maintained. The only reason I gave a lower rating on amenities is the service in the on-site restaurant was horrible. Drive 3 minutes down the road to Island Tacos. You won’t be disappointed!!

Cute, qaint historical cottages dot the landscape of this beautiful well maintain property. Love the fact that there was a restaurant & bar on the property and the bonus is the food was wonderful! Loved the #86 cottage. Out favorite place was drinking coffee on the lanai, look out on the beautiful lush lawn and listen to the ocean hit the shore. It was paradise for us.

Overall, this is a beautiful property with nice cabins and a gracious staff. The pool could use a total revamp, but with beach swimming so close by, it makes sense that it isn’t the resort’s main focus. I also expected a better restaurant and bar. They weren’t bad, but the options felt limited. For anyone looking for a nice place to stay on the west side of Kauai, I’d recommend it.

Having the cottage is awesome with a porch that looks out to the ocean! The cottage was basically clean, but not like the baseboards are near the bed which was kind of gross. However, the Waimea area is amazing, and I loved the separation from others by staying in the cottages

Great place the most relaxing experience of my life. Only fault is other guests not watching their young kids which causes a lot of them running around while I’m trying to relax (pool, beach, yard)

Clean, comfortable, no pests. Friendly and helpful staff. Cozy and rustic plantation cabins. The outside furniture was a bit worn and many cobwebs in the rear. We didn’t have enough wash cloths, hand towels or coffee. We called for a delivery but they never came. Second request in person and they were immediately delivered. Will return.

The cottages were very cute and pretty well stocked. The views are amazing from everywhere. The bar food could use some improvement but it was convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

Our trip to Kauai was amazing and beautiful. We have no complaints about Waimea Plantation Cottages, but will say a few things we wished we had noticed before we booked. We loved having our own little cottage with plenty of amenities, and we liked having no elevators, and a lot of open space in February. Even though we had a "garden view" cottage, we could see the ocean from our bedroom window and our front porch. We loved walking just a few hundred feet each morning and evening to sit in some of the nice chairs and watch the sea, it is also a great beach for long walks.Staying in Waimea was nice because it is a cute, small town and not as crowded with tourists as other areas are. Here is what we wished we knew before we came. (We should have paid more attention!) The one bedroom garden view cottages are cute, but they do not look like the amazing, well-spaced cottages that appear in most photos of WPC. They are quite close to each other, and the overall feeling is more "Campground," than "Resort." There is no hot tub! We just assumed from the photos that there was a hot tub, but it's a cold wading pool! I personally did not like people hanging their laundry on the front porch (there are back porches that can be used, and free laundry facilities.), it just made it look a lot less classy overall. Wherever you choose to stay, Kauai is a beautiful place, and a visit will do wonders for your soul.
