"3 night stay, great restaurants nearby. Visited Stowe Resort and rode the gondola 🚠. Visited the Zenbarn for a great night of music. Loved the area!"
Old Stagecoach Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Great place to stay in the center of Waterbury. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, friendly staff, great breakfast (vegan options). Breakfast was awesome; buffet with fruit, yogurt, overnight oats, maple scones plus a choice from the menu of a cooked item (eggs Benedict, omelettes, waffles etc). Very accommodating to food allergies: made sure my breakfast was safe. Evenings we walked to dinner in 4mins - prohibition pig snd Blackback pub were both excellent. The Inn has a little, well stocked bar open till 9pm. The communal lounge area has comfy chairs, books, games and local guides. Complimentary Coffee, tea and cookies available from 4-6pm. Ben and Jerry’s, Cabot creamery, Plaid clothing, Champlain chocolates, Cider mill, glassblowing and many art and gift shops close by just outside the center of town along the road to Stowe. Plus an easy drive up the mountain - we had a coffee at the Von Trapp cafe/bakery and enjoyed the view. Plenty of parking at the Inn. The Inn is a great base for exploring the area. This isn’t a generic hotel: all the rooms are individual as it is an historic old inn. Very homey place: we felt welcomed, safe, relaxed and comfortable. We stayed in room 11 at the back of the Inn: nice and quiet room with a little deck and small kitchen."
