"First off, the staff was amazing! I booked through Expedia last minute and called ahead because I’d be arriving after hours. Melody helped with the lockbox, and I ran into the manager, Trevor, who was super helpful.
The room was a little more outdated than the photos, but honestly, no big deal! It gave “your grandma’s beach house in the ’90s” vibes. Cute and cozy, with a spiral staircase, gas fireplace, back patio, and upstairs balcony. It was just me and my dog, so we had tons of space!
There’s plenty to do, including kayaks, canoes, a pool, hot tub, and clubhouse. Beach access was easy, and the sunrise was beautiful! Shannon also provided restaurant recommendations.
A few tips: Bring slippers for the stone floors, a fan if you like airflow while sleeping, and be prepared for limited cell service. Wi-Fi worked well enough for me to get some work done, but my phone kept switching to SOS mode.
Overall, a relaxing stay in a beautiful location with fantastic staff! The room could use updating, but the cozy atmosphere and easy beach access made up for it. Great spot for a laid-back getaway with your dog!"
