"The best part of Thala is the staff. It’s a little out of the way, a little hilly and hard to navigate but everything is forgiven by the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. Brett took us on a long and comprehensive nature walk doing everything he could to show us the animals and plants and explaining everything. When we had a flat tire Brett and Sam worked until they figured out how to fix it. Neither would accept even a tip. The stay was wonderful "

Lovely staff, nice breakfast, didn't turn a hair when we arrived 1 minute late for the designated breakfast window. I would not even look at other options next time - would be v happy to come here again."

"We had a great stay. George the owner is very proud of his property and showed us all around his gardens. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Very convenient to Daintree Discovery Center. All damage from the December 2023 “extreme rain event” have been repaired. Don’t hesitate to book. You can have breakfast and dinner at the hotel cafe. Otherwise, there are very limited restaurant options, and no markets nearby, so stock up before you get on the ferry, either at Mossman or Port Douglas....

"We enjoyed it stay at the Regal. The grill was great, the room had nice amenities tho sharper knives would be great. The Regal is nicely located in all directions. Thanks for the nice stay. Really loved Port Douglas and wished we had more time there. Parking was great and the hot tub looked kind of dirty"
