We arrived to a lovely friendly greeting from Suruchi, we were given a walk around of the property, offered information on things to do and places to go. We chose this as a central location that was dog friendly for the three of us to stay.
Nice location, nice property and the room was clean and tidy. Would definitely use this property again on another stay in the lakes.
Thank you for making our 4 night stay so memorable.

The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming they were superb.
We were sorry the restaurant and bar were shut and there was no hot option for breakfast. (We stayed Sunday to Monday)

We've just spent a lovely week at the Queen's Head at Troutbeck, Windermere. Lovely staff. Great food. Just near enough Windermere without being in the hustle and bustle and easy walks right from the door! We hope to return again soon.

We stayed one night at the Victorian house as we had planned a last minute visit to the lakes due to particularly good weather forecast for this time of year.
The staff were very welcoming; the room was as described ‘cosy’ and furnished beautifully. The breakfast was of a high standard with plenty of choice.
We would definitely look to stay again, especially as it was such good value for money and right in the centre of the village.

My wife and I stayed for just one night in a room with a mountain view. The room was decorated in a traditional country house fashion and was very clean and comfortable. We were welcomed upon our arrival by the owner who was attentive throughout our stay, as was all the staff. At first, there was an over-abundance of deference and I really wanted the staff to 'unbutton' a bit and let their own personalities shine through. Eventually, they relaxed as they got to know us and we all got on fine. We...

Great hotel, great location and lovely staff. Very welcoming and friendly. Bus 591, 555 stops just outside the hotel and can take you anywhere whether it’s Windermere, Grasmere, Keswick all very easy to commute. Some great restaurants around. Staff extremely friendly at the reception. Breakfast top notch - 10/10 for Manuel who takes orders at the brekkie area , always smiling. Would highly recommend.
