"The best part about this hotel is that it is so close to Universal that you can walk there in about 15-20 minutes for a fraction of the price that it is to pay for a Universal hotel. There even is a shuttle, but the drop off and pick up times are limited, so I found it easier to walk. I did take the shuttle to Epic Universe, and it was very helpful that I didn't have to pay for an Uber. It was a nice big bus. The hotel room itself was fine. It definitely felt a little dated, but it seemed the be clean. The biggest downside for me was that it had a mildew smell to it that I tried to ignore. Considering the cost of the room and the access to Universal, it was worth it to save money. Plus, you get the famous Doubletree cookie when you check in. The other benefit was leaving my luggage with the bellhop so I could still go to a park even though I checked out. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking to go to Universal on a budget."
