I will never return to this hotel again.
The staff is rude especially the chief of housekeeping. When I couldn’t find the face towels in the washroom, I called the receptionist. A lady came opening my door without knocking, I was quite shocked, luckily I latched the door. She asked me what was my problem , so I told her about the missing towels. She went into the washroom to check and she checked my bed too. She gave me a her disbelief look. When she came back with the towels, she asked me again whether I had misplaced somewhere. I was quite annoyed because of her accusation as if I had stolen the towels. The room was not properly clean too.

Perfect central location in Xi'an. Very comfortable bed, spacious ultra modern ensuite. TV had China News in English. Helpful advice on which busses to take to reach out of city centre sites. Large desk with light . Good kettle/ fridge facilites. Plenty of coat hangers. I had an upgrade and a room with a view over the main road but good windows ment there was no noise to spoil the view.

Great location
The clerk at check-in was friendly and the room was clean. I asked for a wake-up call and it came right on the dot. The bathroom is modern and nice. The only flaw would be the toilet doesn't flush very hard; sometimes needed two times to get the job done. The water pressure in the shower is not very strong, but the water was hot. The bed was a bit hard, but I suppose for some that is not a bad thing. But these are minor and I just mention them for those who are quite picky. The location is the major selling point. Between the Bell Tower and City Wall, within walking distance of most major sites, which is good in a city that expansive.

Be careful which room you choose. The windows in the cheaper rooms do not open. When I stayed in mid-March, the central A/C had not yet shifted to cool air, and as I result my initial room was very warm and stuffy. After the first night, I changed to a room with a window that opens. Although the hallway smelled of cigarette smoke, my room was fine! Very convenient location for sightseeing in the old city! Many of the staff at the front desk speak English, but some do not. We were able to communicate using translation apps. The buffet breakfast (7:00-9:30am)--although not gourmet--was good! If you oversleep, there's a 24-hour Chinese fast food restaurant across the street.

The staff were very helpful and explained everything. The made phone calls for me and checked on tours and pickup. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent! I could walk less than 5 minutes to transportation, local restaurants, shopping and scenic sites.

Checked in late at night and was told they couldn’t find my booking via Expedia. The cost of my room is <250rmb but I was made to give a 200rmb + extra 300rmb deposit since they couldn’t find the booking until they sort it out the next day. I do not understand why I have to a deposit double the cost of my room just because they have an error on their side. Room is either wise ok for a short stay but the toilet has a lot of mouldy stains on the walls.

Very clean and generally nice room. Minimalist theme, which is OK. Big problem: no signage in front of hotel and buried in mall type location so can walk by it multiple times and not notice - which is not so good when you are a lowly foreigner and you can't find anyone you can communicate with. Also, noticed front desk of late checkout and was still locked out of room. However, for the money I think it was not a bad stay.

First, the staff at the hotel was excellent. They were the most kind, hard working, outgoing people you could ask for. Always had a smile on their face and were very good at dealing with our family of 6. Also, loved the location as it was easy walking distance to drum and bell towers as well as convenient shopping. The main problems we experienced were constant sound of construction workers drilling with a loud concrete drill in the hallways just outside of our room for the whole stay. Of course we understand that they are making improvements and with this being a hotel there really is no convenient time for construction noise. Not really a complaint but just be aware that it's there. Our biggest complaint was the shower leaked from cracked tiles on the floor, through the wall and into the living area saturating the carpet and leaving a large area wet all the time. The only thing staff could do was put a towel on top of it and say "sorry". The other problem we had was the floor was covered in hair. We have a small 8 month old that was crawling on the floor and hair was everywhere! We asked to have the floor vacuumed to which the staff politely and promptly did (every day after) but the vacuum was so weak it didn't do very much at all. It would hardly pick up small crumbs of tea cake the baby dropped much less the hair. We just loved the staff so much i hate to give a poor review because they were great but the room did need some work. With that said, I would stay again.

Centralized location close to subway
The hotel is not very eye-catching as it's located at the end of a big building. The location was good as it's on the center of the street where if you turn right from the hotel, you can walk down to the City Wall; and if you turn left from the hotel, you can walk up to Bell Tower, Drum Tower and the subway station.All these within 10 minutes of walk. Muslim Street is about another 5 minutes walk from Bell Tower, or Drum Tower! Hotel staff are friendly, rooms are spacious. We had 2 rooms and the room that my husband and I were in was not very clean, so we asked the housekeeping staff to clean it up and they did it promptly. The only thing to complain "everyday" was they didn't give us, both rooms, new shampoo and shower gel. We had to ask for them and we received them promptly as well. Besides this, everything was great! Wifi in the lobby and in the rooms were strong so no complaints! We enjoyed staying at this hotel and strongly recommend it to you all!

Four star hotel rating is too high.
Four star hotel rating is too high. We have stayed at many hotels in China and all over Europe and we know a four star hotel when we stay at one. This is at best a 2 1/2 to 3 star hotel. The room was so small that it had no room for a chair or a desk to set one's lap top on. It gave a new meaning to "lap top". We left wake up calls on two separate evenings and we were not called in the morning. The paint on the walls needs some attention and the carpet needed some cleaning. They did not have the capability to call a taxi for us in the mornings.

A good value hotel in Xi'an with great position
I had a very good five night stay in this hotel. Excellent position! The staff had some English skills and with the help of Google translate, we communicated without too much trouble. I happily recommend this hotel and would stay there again. While my room was showing some wear and tear, the value for money was very good.

Good, but long way to go to be great
This hotel has a lot of potential, but they lose it in the details. First off, the service was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful, even if some of the staff had limited English. The woman at the tour desk and I got everything worked out for my wife and I with a group of our friends using translator apps on our phones. Checkin and checkout went very smoothly. Other positives. The rooms are huge and clean. The artwork in the lobby is pretty cool. Since the hotel was totally booked we got upgraded to a suite on our first night. We then had to switch rooms, but I'm glad we did because the bed was a much more comfortable pillowtop mattress as opposed to the rock hard bed in the suite. Areas for improvement. Some of the fixtures are outdated. The rooms are rather spartan with stark white walls and light colored wood furniture. The faucet and sink were both leaky. Not much water pressure from the rainfall showered. The rock hard bed noted above. Our second room was room 700, which was right next to the elevator, so all we heard day and night was the (rather loud) whirring of the elevators. We didn't complain because we were only there for a few nights and the hotel was fully booked anyway due to the national tomb sweeping holiday. Overall I'd recommend this place for a short stay if you want something nice and not too expensive.
