Great checkin, smooth and efficient, the young lady on the bar was excellent, polite, professional and friendly. The 2 rooms were poorly finished in that, no spoons for the tea making facilities, no shower gel or hand wash soap in the dispensers in room 220 and no hand wash soap in the dispenser for room 219, I did mention this to the reception lady at checkout, otherwise superb.

Not perhaps the cheapest option but overall decent value for the area. Very spacious room with a comfortable bed and excellent shower. Didn’t take the breakfast option as I used a small local cafe instead.

Breakfast a bit chaotic when busy as self service. Bar average and closes at 2230. All others a plus staff, rooms great, parking, cleanliness, very close to town

Prima hotel en service alleen het parkeren is een crime. Goedkoop als er plaats is op het kerkplein wat praktisch niet voorkomt en duur als een parkeergarage gebruikt moet worden.

Good hotel in central location. Expensive breakfast at additional cost for what you got and thought hotel could have got a discount on parking. Rooom thermostat in one room not working so too hot.

Staff welcoming and very friendly. Excellent location and good parking nearby. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Breakfast ok and plentiful but a little expensive I feel. Would happily stay again.

Zeer redelijk geprijsd hotel op een fijne locatie. 1 puntje van aandacht: 25 euro voor een absoluut basic ontbijt is veel te veel. Bijna alles komt uit een pak of een blik. Ik ga er wel terug komen!!

Used to love staying here, this was my first stay since the hotel was ‘refurbished ‘. The new room design is dreadful. There’s no seperate bathroom , the toilet and shower open directly into the bedroom and the washbasin is right next to the bed. The shower cubicle ( which as I mentioned opens directly into the bedroom ) has a panel with a one way mirror. This means that the person who is having a shower can see their own reflection but whoever is sharing the room with you can such sit there and watch you showering - bizarre to be honest. The panel to control the heating in the room was dead, I did report it as indeed I also reported that the coffee machine wouldn't switch on either. The hotel no longer serves dinner, whoever is on reception has to run over to the bar if you want to drink. The majority of the seating in the dining area consists of tall stools and high tables , not really how I would choose to eat my breakfast. The staff are lovely but the newly designed interior is a disaster. I understand that NOVOTEL are no longer responsible for the car park under the hotel but it’s worth mentioning that if you do use it it’s eye wateringly expensive. Sad to report that after using the NOVOTEL in Ypres pretty much every Christmas for the last 18 years I’ll almost certainly be looking for an alternative hotel next year . Sad really.

If you mention this the moment you make the reservation we will make sure you get this type of room. Most people like the design rooms and interior, but I understand this is something completely subjective. When guests ask us about the parking we are always ready to help out and give you more information about the costs of the different options. Aangenaam hotel met goed ontbijtbuffet. Ontbijtzaal kan wat warmer/ groener aangekleed worden. Vrij groot reftergevoel. Propere, rustige kamer. Jammer dat er weinig enthousiasme was voor het diner in het restaurant van het hotel. Dat sluit blijkbaar binnenkort en was niet gecommuniceerd op voorhand.

Perfect base
Great location and very stylish and spacious rooms. Big comfortable bed, nespresso machine, sofa and even BBC 1 on the TV! Also dog friendly.Ypres is a great place to stay and only one hour from the Channel tunnel.

Weekend break
The hotel was lovely and in a really good position near to the centre. Parking was excellent in the underground carpark and then lift to the hotel. We also had a lovely meal in captain cooks at the end of the road. Break fast was also really good value. Only small criticism was the hotel bar was very limited. Definitely recommend

Really nice clean and tidy hotel. Extremely close and convenient to the centre of town. The hotel was modern and the staff friendly. Parking, cost not included, was safe, secure and a lift took you directly to the hotel. Did not have breakfast as we felt the cost was rather dear.

Nice and clean modern rooms. The bed was very good to sleep in. Handy USB ports in the walls, for charging. For breakfast enough choice, but I only missed the boiled eggs.

Overpriced for what it was, no secure parking. Air conditioning not working in the room, had to keep the window open and listen to the noise all night. When we spoke to reception, we were told that it had been turned off because people had been complaining that it was too cold in the room, weren't offered a solution - had to ask for a fan.
