"Where do I even begin?! 😍✨
THE STAFF – Absolutely AMAZING! ❤️
Honestly, some of the friendliest, warmest and most welcoming people we have ever encountered! Every single one of them made our stay extra special.
A big shout-out to Robin at the Front Desk for making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Gasper and Miraji, our Go-Kart champions, thank you for the endless rides and all the fun around the compound! Selemani and Andrea from Sports & Beach kept us entertained throughout our stay. Rashid, thank you for getting us moving with those fun pool dance sessions and aqua exercises – you certainly made sure we didn't just eat and relax! 😂💃 And Carlos, thank you for the fantastic Salsa lessons – we loved every minute! Finally, William at Mawe Bar, you certainly made sure our glasses were never empty! 壟
THE ROOMS – WOW! 🛏️
Super clean, beautifully maintained and those views... simply AHH-MAZING!
THE FOOD – DELICIOUS! 🍽️
Let's just say we definitely came back home with a few extra pounds! 😂 The food was fantastic! A special mention to Salt & Cut Carnivorous Restaurant – an absolute MUST-TRY! And if you're looking for breathtaking beach views, Al Mar Social Lounge is the place to be!
All in all, an unforgettable experience, made even more special by an incredible team who genuinely go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome.
We came as guests, but left feeling like family. ❤️"
"Loved our stay at Z2 Hotel! Staff are all so welcoming, friendly and helpful – which made Hotel Z and Z2 a standout property. You'll be greeted with warm smiles and a happy "Jambo" by everyone!
Hotel Z is the main property, and Z2 is the sister property (where we stayed) right around the corner. Hotel Z2 offers the same access to the Z Hotel property including the pool and beach lounge area (pool-side service), gym, spa and access to the Z property restaurants and other beach-front resort property restaurants. Our room was not beach-front- but did include a pool view and was very quiet. The beach is very short walk around the corner through the Z Hotel.
The location in Nungwi is excellent on a more quiet section of the beach, and close enough to night life and fun activities. The resort properties offers all-inclusive restaurants if you purchase that package. We had the breakfast package - which at Z2 and was pool-side right on the property and very good – egg dishes or avocado toast made the way you like + a really generous buffet spread with juices, fresh fruit, pastries and so much more.
Rooms are very clean and the air conditioning is really good - a must on this tropical island. A back-up generator kept everything running well 24/7. This is a big deal on the island where rolling blackouts can occur.
Security were all very welcoming and kept a close eye on the entrances but the area, and everywhere we went in Zanzibar, felt very safe regardless."
"Breakfast was nice. This hotel is near the sights in Stone Town. Walk through the narrow shopping streets to the slave market in just a few minutes. Freddie Mercury residence is just around the corner from the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful, although I did have to ask 4 times to get the TV working."
"Great place to stay; I didn't expect any kind of view and it is in the midst of other buildings. A short walk from the main hotel, where you have access to all of the the amenities including breakfast, pools, private beach, etc. The room was a bit bare bones for furniture, but what was there was local and good quality. No mosquito netting, but they say that they spray, although we did find one. We used the ceiling fans all night which should also keep them away. The bathroom was beautifully tiled. Great staff at the main hotel and there is security at the entrance to the Palace Hotel. Biggest downside - uneven stairs and no elevator."
"Spice Palace Hotel was a great place to stay in Stone Town. The breakfast was better than I expected (omelette served, location was center of Stone Town, staff was very helpful and price was great. My only complaint was that the pool could have been warmer. I would stay here again. Stayed 5 nights."
"Absolutely first class holiday and resort. Food was exceptionally good, both in the a La Carte restaurants and the buffet, grounds were immaculate, staff were friendly and warm. The pool areas and raised beach were fabulous.
If you had a question or needed help with something, dial 9 and reception staff sorted it without ever needing to leave your room.
Without doubt one of our best holidays ever and we will be going back next year without a doubt.
The only note of caution would relate to disabled or elderly clients, the resort is well advertised as large and sprawling and dotted around a hillside, so walking about for some might be difficult.
We loved with Island and would rate this holiday overall as a 10/10!"
"We had the most amazing honeymoon stay at Kwanza Resort! ❤️ From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect and made our honeymoon so special and memorable.
The resort was beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the service was exceptional. All the staff were so kind, welcoming and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and well looked after. Their warmth and hospitality really made a difference to our experience.
A special mention to the beautiful honeymoon and birthday decorations! 🥹❤️ They were so pretty and thoughtfully done, making our stay feel even more special. It was such a lovely touch and made our celebrations extra memorable.
As someone who is vegetarian, I was especially pleased with the variety of vegan and vegetarian food options available. There was a great selection of delicious food, and it was wonderful to have options to enjoy throughout our stay.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate the beginning of our married life together. Thank you to the entire Kwanza Resort team for making our honeymoon so unforgettable. We made such beautiful memories here and would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a romantic getaway! 🌴✨
**Thank you, Kwanza Resort, for making our honeymoon so amazing! We would love to come back again!** ❤️"
