"This hotel ticks all the boxes. Brilliant location for Dachstein and Salzkammergut regions, nice room sizes, good spread for continental breakfast and courteous staff. Had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. Only suggestions would be as follows: 1. Please provide tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms so that one can enjoy an early morning coffee with the stunning views, is that there is no kettle 2. Please train the bar staff for drinks/cocktail service as the coctails...

"rather good for the money no traffic quite easy to walk around and the air is clean, you can not see it. only problem is lack of various resturants, there were two but Hallstatt is 3 miles away and full of any thing you may want to eat"

"Property was undergoing renovation, therefore its was messy, a bit more of country living. Beds were hard and pillows were too flat. We could use a few more pillows. The staff were nice, but they’re not around after 6pm. So if you need anything you need to ask before that. The cafe next to the accommodation is really good. And the breakfast was awesome. So my reviews are mixed.. "

"The breakfast was top rate, very nicely decorated area, the food was all fresh and tasty. Well done hospitality. THe room was a bit cold, but i realize it was first week of cool weather, and maybe furnace wasn't at full steam yet. But the staff was friendly, the town is very picturesque, i would surely go back to this place."

"The hotel is very close to the Pilani gondola. An easy walk even in all your ski gear and carrying your equipment. It is also very near to other restaurants and bars and only a few minutes walk to shopping. We found it very easy to get around the town without transportation and had a fantastic stay. It appeared basic and generic but was actually modern with loads of features to offer a personalised stay (interactive board, informed staff, local discount card). "Wow. We stayed for one night outside of Hallstatt. What a beautiful apartment. Loved the espresso machine available and the freshest farm eggs you could ask for. It slept three of us well. We walked into Hallstatt (3.5 miles). It was a lovely and very easy walk to get to Hallstatt. But Obertraun had its own charm. Would definitely recommend in all aspects!! "
