"Upon arrival we realized this is not a farm but a little small holding. All units less than 15 feet from each other. A Large Barn is also right opposite the cottages where workers are staying. Drawers in kitchen not in good condition, small stove in a terrible condition. Dead ants in the cupboard. The Sunday morning the workers who stay in the barn opposite the cottages were painting and playing terrible and very loud music. This was not a nice Sunday morning on a farm. "Old beatiful hotel in urgent need of a rescue. Hotel tried to down grade the 2nd room i paid for. From a Delux Double room to a Studio.Lucky i saw the attempt when booking in? Disapointing a Hotel would do this and when the client sees it,blames the computer. Aircon in Room 227 did not work and was given a 2 bar heater that only made the slightest difference since the temperature dropped below 10 degrees celsius and there's snow on the mountains. Hot water in both rooms was just above room...

"This guest house is fabulous and much more interesting than chain hotels. It maybe old but it is full of character and decorated with interesting art, everything works and all mod cons are available. The people were so friendly and helpful too, we had a great holiday."

"No swimming towels made available, told to make use of our bath towels. Swimming pool was dirty with crickets and dead frogs in it. The bath towels are old and hard. The bedding is stained with old marks. Paint is peeling off walls in unit. No-one emptied dustbins over a 2 days stay even though we placed this outside. Wine glasses on the shelf cracked. Iron was rusted and marked out clothing. Remote control for gate not working. Did not need or want to hear Receptionist’s work history....

I cannot recall if there was an iron previously but we did miss this - perhaps a mini foldable ironing board and iron could be provided. The salt and pepper shakers had the wrong contents (salt shaker had pepper in it and vice versa). The privacy screen at the pool looks great. We could unfortunately not use the pool as it seems like a corporate group booked most of the cottages and spent their entire stay at the pool which left no...
