"What an amazing place this is. This was our third time staying here and, as usual, we loved everything about it. We even found fellow Christian’s on the staff there who made us feel like family. In our opinion this is the best place we have stayed anywhere in Africa. It just suited all our needs and gave us (a group of 3) time to unwind. Thank you everyone at WHK. "The eco village is tucked away in the private nature reserve. Wonderful views of springboks as you drive to the eco village on the grounds. Rooms were clean and modern, exceptionally comfortable bed. We will welcomed upon arrival with a glass of port - nice touch. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional, tasty food especially the rack of lamb. Stargazing with Eben was an exciting and unique experience. Will stay here again."

While booking a series of properties for a tour of the western cape I failed to notice that the calendar on the third booking, Rietfontein, had reverted to the current date this year instead of the date we reqd for next year. This was realised as soon as the confirmation came thru and Expedia were contacted immediately. Unfortunately neither Expedia or the Hotel were prepared to change the booking to the dates reqd. "Beautiful facility and farm. Staff friendly and professional. Game drives very pleasant with stunning surroundings. Didn’t see a lot of animals though. Was disappointed in the lack of airconditioning in rooms. Struggled to sleep in the stifling heat. Though I understand the facility runs on solar panels, I feel it can be indicated on the website that no ac available. "

"The property is far from town situated on a dirt road (15 km) and fairly dangerous to drive at night. We decided not to stay there and used alternative accommodation in town. This was not known to me when I made the booking, the road condition must be detailed on the website... "

"The lady of the house was very accommodating, the room was very clean, great bed and bed sheets, blankets and pillows. The breakfast was very good. The thing which really threw me off was that the room was advertised as "Partially open bathroom, free toiletries, and a shower" - it turned out this means that the toilet is in the same room where the bed is, there is no walls around it, or anything like that. The shower is also in this same room, in a glass enclosure. This all made for an...
