1. Djorff Palace

Luxor

"Djorff Palace is an amazing hotel, with high ceilings and intricate wood work and each room or suite is individually decorated. Backing onto the Nile, it features a free shuttle boat to the east bank and from there it is easy to visit the Karnak and Luxor temples and the Luxor Museum. The staff are very accommodating and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our host who was very knowledgeable about the country and the people. She booked transit for us to and from the hotel, and to the Valley of...

8. El Mesala Hotel

Tepi Barat

"A few weeks after booking, the hotel sent me a message that it would be closed for renovations during the time I had booked to stay. I had prepaid the money for my room, so I replied to ask for the money to be returned to me, but I never received a reply. After contacting the hotel several more times, I still never received a reply. I never received my money back, so I paid for a hotel room that I was not allowed to use. This felt like a scam."

"Room was clean and very well organised for you will need and make sure you read the description which was very thoughtful and helpful. "My stay at the Nile Compound Hotel was amazing! The hotel is a garden oasis surrounded by the beautiful farmland of Luxor. I could not have picked a better place to stay. Mr Yousef and the rest of the staff were spectacular! Mr Yousef arranged my transportation to several sites and always made sure I was enjoying myself. The food, especially the breakfast, were always delicious and they even gave me a breakfast before my early morning flight back to Cairo. I am so glad I chose to stay at...
