"Room was great for our trip. Ground floor pets. Easy in and out for check in and out. Front desk staff was kind, informative and quick. The indoor pool wasn't the warmest but it's shape and style was very unique. Free on site laundry with nice washers and dryers was incredibly helpful after our long trip. The cabins are currently under construction, unkept, dirty and not private.The property owners/managers are a no show to whom you have to communicate via text message. "This is a very well maintained and thoughtfully furnished and decorated cozy cabin close to everything but tucked away down a gravel road providing a sense of privacy set in a naturally rugged Black Hills landscape with beautiful starry dark night time skies. "We enjoyed our stay at the Papoose. Pat (the owner) was great with her communication. Our biggest objection to the cabin is the sleeping arrangements in the loft and the bathroom on the main level. We were aware of this when we booked but, being older, we didn't appreciate what a problem this presented for us at night."
