Really lovely area, and super close to the beach and waterfront. Easy to check into the hotel and friendly staff. room was great for what we needed, and bed was comfortable. Decent breakfast - really set us up for the day! Only downside was being able to hear the other guests in the corridor at night but that is hard to be avoided!

We had a deluxe bedroom but the bathroom was dirty. Paint chipping on floor and paint stain on floor. There was a spare blanket that was tossed on top of the closet that appeared dirty. Gave my wife and I an uncomfortable feeling of cleanliness. The corner room was a nice layout but the carpeting needs updating. Check in person at the counter (Shirley ?) should have been more descriptive on how to get to the Pier. Only found out the next day from another person at the counter to simply walk to the back of hotel and walk a few blocks Breakfast service was Great and Excellent breakfast. A person personally let us use the other dining room when some of the rugby team took up much of the room in the first dining room.

Had a great night's sleep at this hotel. Decent breakfast, just a shame the brown sauce was some generic vinegary stuff and not HP, like I got there last time.

The hotel is clean, but there’s no lift and the stairs are steep and narrow, I’m coeliac and although I advised this at time of booking nobody seemed to know what did not did not contain gluten, so breakfast was stressful and really disappointing

Weekend stay
Car park is a joke! Room for 4/5 cars, which would block each other in. 2 ladies on check in, but only 1 could take payment! Not very organised. Room was very nice. Clean and comfortable, nice and warm. Window latches were broken. Plenty of hot water, although the cold water out of the sink tap was non-existing. Location is fabulous. Would book here again.

Excellent location. Able to walk everywhere in moments... train station, beach, coffee shops, restaurants & pubs, shopping. Parking seemed like it might be an issue, but I did not have a car so there was no problem there. Only issue was finding the location at first as we were walking from the train station... hotel is on Portland STREET, but you come first to Portland ROAD, which we walked up and down several times looking for the hotel entrance before going up one more block to the correct Portland ;) Hotel staff all friendly and attentive, even making phone calls for us for taxis and such. I will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay
On arrival the receptionist couldn't find my booking but after a long search she foind it. I was told room was up a couple of floors. I asked if anything lower and she found a ground floor room. It was fantastic more like an apartment. Breakfast was amazing with cereals and fruit juices and a full cooked breakfast. Wonderful

Bargain don’t be fooled by price it’s nice / clean
The four seasons could do with a lick of paint but it’s clean the rooms a big and warm the wifi is good there’s free parking outside and the breakfast was amazing value and choice.

We arrived with low expectations however the staff were excellent and the room was clean and well equipped. Location wise this hotel is in the heart of everything and easy walking distance from shops and the sea front. The breakfast is excellent!

Four Seasons Aberystwyth
The place is run by incredible staff. They are a credit to it and are working hard with the resources they have. Generally the hotel furnishings are tired and dated. It was clean but worn. Only steps from the seafront.

It was damp/raining when we stayed but the patio area was a little scruffy. Room was clean and tidy with good seating for viewing TV.

Not a pleasant stay for us. The greeting by the receptionist was very cold. The breakfast was not great, coffee was tasteless and again the staff was distant and cold. Room was extremely bare for a « deluxe room », duvet cover was not immaculate, hair were in the bed and the light fixtures were disgustingly dirty. Fortunately it was only for a 1-night stay and we wouldn’t come back. Upon checking out we came across housekeepers who had placed clean towels/sheets directly on the dirty hallway carpet! Their standards are just not where they should be.
