The lady we had a check in was fantastic! Supper friendly and welcoming to the building. Answered questions about the area. Our check out day- We asked for an hour later for check out and was told they didn’t have enough people checking out and late check outs are for members only. Also house keeping you be upset if we didn’t leave on time.

We travel back and forth on this route often and find this hotel to be a convenient stopping point for an overnight stay. It is conveniently located just off the highway but noise from the highway is not an issue. It is clean, safe, and the staff has always been helpful. We have been traveling a lot recently and have found that when we use Expedia, we have not been getting the nicest rooms. Our room was located next to the elevator shaft so we could hear some noise if the elevator was moving.

The nicest Holiday Inn Express we have stayed at. We will always stay there when going through Abingdon VA. Great front desk crew, very clean room and bath, comfortable beds, nice breakfast - over all great experience.

Convenient off I-81, but far enough away that there isn't much in the way of road noise. Easy parking and check in. Room was clean, but had an "odd" smell at check in - that dissipated later.

Don't overlook this great stop over option.
Abingdon was a great stop on our way to Gatlinburg. The hotel was modern and clean. The room was comfortable and spacious. It was right off the interstate with plenty of food options, gas and even a car wash next door.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Fixed extra coffee for us in the evening. Property was clean with crisp new feel. Good location for getting around the area. A bit of noise from traffic at night, but not bad considering highway was nearby. Breakfast was standard fare, but well prepared. Better than average Holiday Inn.

When you get charged twice instead of once then you get a "oh well, it happens. There is nothing we can do about it" explanation then you get a little irate. We have stayed in that hotel quite a few times on our teavels back and forth to Alabama. I caught the charge when my bank sent me an alert that I had been charged twice. The hotel staff was unwilling to take the extea charge off.

They qere very good to accomodate our whole baseball team fir 4 days. Only downfall of property os the indoor pool is very small and did not work for more than a few people at a time.
