"Fantastic location; large room; large bed... ... Everything else was mediocre. Way below the quality you should expect from an expensive 4 star hotel. Breakfast was mediocre, cooked food lukewarm, pastries tasteless. Bar service at pool not existent. Difficult to get clean towels for the pool. (I am not being difficult, I have left a 5 star review to the other gotel we stayed in Lisbon) I will not go back (not at those prices)"

"A delightful find in Sintra. Ne need to stay at a big name hotel when this boutique place has EVERYTHING. We got the least expensive room since ours was a shot stay. We were assigned a charming room in the former wine cellar. No elevator and we were prepared to carry our suitcases downstairs but the staff insisted on doing it. Our room had a nice size bed which definitely filled the room but there was a little sitting area and a perfectly roomy bathroom with a walk in shower. The room was...

"Getting to hotel was a challenge. Had to tell the police directing traffic that we were staying in the area otherwise they would diect you away. Room was big but show needed to be repaired, front desk knew and part ordered, would have been nice to know ahead of time. Water went all over the floor making it slippery. Staff were amazing and helpful. Parking is away from hotel and DOWN a steep hill. "

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Karen, our hostess, was incredibly attentive to our needs as we were traveling with a one year old. Our room was turned down and taken care of everyday. Karen went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable every time I saw her, even arranging a taxi service for us to go into town for baby food and diapers.
