"The apartment was lovely and the beds comfy. The location of the apartment was within walking distance to everything in the historical district. Breakfast was delicious (wayyyyy too much food though... we felt wasteful not being able to eat all of it). The apartment was on the 5th floor with no lift so as it was a treacherous 92 stairs up, 92 stairs down. I would have liked to have known about that before arrival because my friend traveling with me was older.. outside of that, it was great."

"We chose this hotel in Gaia, thinking it would be a more affordable alternative to staying in Porto, but it ended up costing us more in transportation and inconvenience.
We arrived at 11 a.m. but were unable to check in until nearly 3 p.m. The hotel said it was fully booked and could not accommodate an early check-in, which was surprising since they had emailed us days earlier offering early check-in for an additional fee.
The bar was unattended when we arrived despite being listed as open, and...

"Iconic historical property near to cathedral, a little challenging for those with mobillity issues ,but as a 76 y.o.with a 73 y.o. partner,was manageable. Overall glad we chose to stay there."
