"What we liked and disliked were the same things. We like the fact the historical nature of the hotel and staying in the historical area of the hotel. Historical hotels always have some quirks. Lack of electrical outlets is common as is a step into the bathroom. On the other hand what a great location for seeing the city, and the lobby and ballroom were spectacular."

"A number of us from the Madrid High School (Spain) Class of 1965 had a wonderful stay celebrating our 61st anniversary at the Crockett Hotel in San Antonio. Great food and bar, warm vibe, great staff and walking distance to everything memorable in beautiful San Antonio. Across the street from the Alamo. "Close to events on river walk. Everything was a little pricy. Uber to Alamodome dropped handicapped persons outside of the dome, you had to walk the rest of the way coming back uber would not come inside to pick up. 3 cancelled. Bad experience. We missed our dinner appt"

"Staff were helpful with check-in (with a fee) — I was able to check in early and they emailed me my room info which made for a swift stop at the hotel before heading out in town. Secure entry during the evenings with inputting provided code, same for elevator, and room which made me feel secure. The location is a block away from the river which is nice when you’re down to eat and do cool things. It can be loud in the late evenings from street noises, horses galloping, and people just passing by...
