The gateway to Great Sand Dunes National Park offers spectacular hiking and sandboarding on North America's tallest dunes. Ride the historic Rio Grande Scenic Railway or spot sandhill cranes at the nearby Monte Vista Wildlife Refuge during spring migration.
Lovely wooden cabin only a few meters from the river in a rural setting. Saw lots of deer in the evening in the surrounding area.
The owners were very helpful & friendly

Quite possibly one of the best stays we've had whilst road-tripping in the US so far! The concept of this place is so simple yet offers an incredibly unique experience. The Yurts were spacious, squeaky clean and well maintained, as were the shared facilities. Great to have access to the snack-bar on site which offers enough variety for during your stay including complimentary coffee and water. The outdoor Drive-Inn where you can watch a movie is a brilliant touch with free popcorn for guests!...

Stayed on way from Denver to Durango. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Lodge was quirky with Christmas theme. Bed comfortable and good eating places within a few yards walk.

We stayed in a few Holiday Inn Express locations on this trip, and this definitely the best. Staff were very attentive, and there were lots of sweet touches, such as snacks in the lobby. Rooms were big too!

Fairly standard Best Western with very decent breakfast, clean large room.
The extra is having a drive in movie theater onsite. Which you can watch from the room. That was very cool

The two night's stay was great in everyway. i.e., cleanliness staff, comfort, and free breakfast was not disappointing at all with delicious green chili ! will keep this facility in mind on our next trip to the San Luis Valley.

We stayed one night, friendly check-in. Nice big room, clean and comfortable. Computer and printer available. Free Wifi worked. Basic continental breakfast - there was microwave omelette - didn't try it!!
We walked into town, about half mile. Not the best walk as had to cross a couple of traffic intersections.
Overall a very good overnight stay
