"We liked that it was so secluded and quiet yet close to South Haven. It was a little smaller than expected but overall super cute, quiet, peaceful stay."

"My family of 6 travels ALOT, and this hotel has made its way to one of the worst we have ever stayed at in a list of many!
Paid for a 2queen suite with pullout couch. Made sure our room had a bath tub for our little children. We were given a room on the second floor. In the evening as we were preparing for bed we noticed the ceiling was leaking directly onto the bed and the foot of the mattress was soaked.
Front desk moved us to two separate rooms (dividing our family, children and shared luggage) stating that they were full so these were the only rooms they could offer and to speak to a manager in the morning about compensation as we were not getting what we paid for. So late at night as we were all headed to bed we instead packed up all our belongings and moved. Not to mention we were now traveling up and down from floor 1 to 3 to reach eachother with clothes/toiletries/etc.
Next morning — we can hear the manager behind the desk talking but are told she was in a meeting. Said we would be waiting to meet with her before leaving for the day. Front desk then tells us we have to clear one of the rooms and move all our stuff to one room (with one king size bed) for 6 people, as the other room was held for someone else. No concern for the customers already there that did not have a room. So then our morning was further delayed as we packed up AGAIN. The manager magically became available after that to assure us she would find us a room “somewhere”"
"Captains Quarters was the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were extremely kind, and location was great. Very close to town and beaches. Comfy and safe. Absolutely would recommend!"
"This place is a gem. It’s unlike any other lodging we’ve ever stayed in, with retro 50s-60s charm balanced by modern comforts & conveniences. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and cheery, and the Amish bed was super comfortable. Parking was right outside our door, and we loved sitting in the shared patio area a few steps away. Steve is a gracious and affable host, and the Groovy! Groovy! Gift Gallery has items we’d never found in other places but knew we needed :) The Pines Motorlodge is just a short walk from amazing restaurants, shops, and art galleries. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!"
"Parking was easy. We didn’t need AC since nights were cool. Mosquitoes were out at dusk and dawn so bring bug spray. We just needed to stay a night so we could meet up with cousins for dinner between our trip from Chicago to Cleveland. So we did not make use of the other amenities."
